Who’s Watching You?

Psalm 33:18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love…
Recently I had the honor and privilege of keeping my two grandsons and doing all the things Grandmas are supposed to do. One of them is 5 years old (“A”) and the other is 18 months old(“S”). The youngest was constantly keeping his eye on his big brother and he was mimicking every thing he did. “S” was watching “A”. At church, I occasionally see a couple of our dads take their fingers and make the “peace” sign, V shape, and point from their eyes to their kids. They are sending the message, “I am watching you.” When this happens you better make the right choice.
A few weeks back, I attended the funeral of my friend’s father. He was 101 years old and actually died on his birthday. During the service, the pastor spoke of all of the choices this man had made in his life. It was a phenomenal list and one to be envied just a bit. This gentleman had spent his lifetime making choices based on his specific circumstances. Choices that those around him may not have been aware of but choices that were obviously for the good based on his service record to his country, church, family, and community.
During the service, this statement caught my attention: “choices that no one sees.” Then the pastor followed with the statement, “but God sees.” Wham…right between the eyes. Even when no one is watching, God sees. God sees you when you turn left but should have gone right. God sees you when you stick out your tongue behind your mama’s back. God sees when you throw a rock you were told to put down and he sees you grab the last cookie when you were told no more. But, God also sees when you give your dad a high five. God sees you help your friend up that got knocked down by accident. God sees you give your mom a kiss and a hug before you get out of the car at school. God sees everything; the good, the bad, the beautiful, the ugly. God sees and if you are a Christian and you mess up, God will give you a gentle reminder that he is watching. He will make you think about your choice. You always have a choice, a choice to continue doing sinful things or, stop, ask forgiveness, and make the right choices. God is always watching even when no one else is.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

God sees and hears all. My family has blessed us and touched us.
Great devotion and reminder!
Enjoyed your devotion, how true God sees ALL, don’t miss that opportunity to witness to that lost soul he sends your way today. Amen
