What's the Plan?

“Your eyes saw my embryo, and on your scroll every day was written that was being formed for me, before any of them had yet happened.” Psalm 139:16
Do you ever consider the plan God has set for your life? Do you wonder when the plan is going to be made known to you? Do you wonder if there even is a plan? Fret not, as the verse above says, there is a plan. Every day of our lives have been planned by the One who created us in our mother’s womb. God looked down through time and has recorded each of our days in the greatest monthly planner of ALL TIME!
In a recent conversation with my cousin, Joyce, she shared with me how hungry she had been for the Holy Spirit to renew and revive her. After meeting and praying with a dear friend of hers concerning this, she experienced this renewal she had been wanting. She now has a ministry of praying for and with others that she’d not had previously. Joyce said she wasn’t one that was comfortable praying aloud and certainly had not felt led to offer prayer on the spot, so to speak. She now has the boldness and confidence to do exactly that! She said to me, “I would never have thought that in my 80’s, God would use me so mightily!” As He was writing her days, what she is doing for the Lord today was planned for such a time as this.
I published my first book, The Pond, in August of 2016, the following February I turned 60 years old! I had never written anything like a devotion before 2014 – 2015. I became a writer much later than most. Again, God’s plan became visible. I, like Joyce would never have guessed how God would use me; that I would be a writer of devotions, much less have them published! I didn’t think about God using my life in such an awesome way. He definitely took a nobody to put His words on paper!
My cousin and I both have been Christians for a long time, and I can’t say for her but as for me I know I had not lived for Him as I should prior to His calling on my life. Sometimes He uses us in spite of ourselves!
Ask God to reveal His plan to you, if you are already aware of it ask Him to renew and revive you in it. In one way or another we are to reveal Christ to a lost and hopeless world.
I love this song by Casting Crowns, and it says it just as it is. May it be your prayer today.
… Well the moral of the story is Everybody's got a purpose So when I hear that devil start talking to me saying "Who do you think you are?" I say
… I'm just a nobody Trying to tell everybody All about Somebody Who saved my soul
