What If? (Devotional Poem)

Romans 10:13

What if?

I never surrendered

Fully trusted

And followed Christ?

Would I?

Be content

Feel meaningful

Accomplished?

What if?

I never saw

My need

My sin, giving way to my pride?

Would I?

Be empty

Dependent

Of a good conscience?

What if?

I just went

Doing my on thing

At everyone else expense?

Would I?

Be lonely

Be full

Be loved?

What if?

I were to suddenly

Grow weak

And flirt with death?

Would I?

Be fearful

Isolated

And have no one to care for me?

What if?

In my despair

Christ came walking

To my bedside?

Would I?

Then listen

To his voice

His word, his plea?

What if?

I gave my heart

My mind

My soul to him in love?

Would He?

Receive it

Accept it

As if it were His own?

What if?

I acknowledged

Confessed

And turned to Him?

Would He?

Receive me

Hear me

And turn to me?

He would!
