Weary Traveler

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road
that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life,
and only a few find it.” Matthew 7:13-14
For the road to Heaven is narrow,
To destruction the road is wide.
Which road will you be traveling,
To get to the other side?
The gift of God is salvation,
The wages of sin is death.
Which road will you be traveling,
Once you take your final breath?
Christ died for the wretched sinner,
It’s easy to understand.
Which road will you be traveling,
To get to the promised land?
Simple faith will lead to salvation,
Eternal life is a gift that’s free.
Which road will you be traveling,
As you search for eternity?
Our God says few will find it,
The path is so very thin.
Which road will you be traveling,
Toward the gate you will enter in?
God’s Word shines light on the darkness,
To show us the narrow way.
Which road will you be traveling,
Should this be your final day?
Yes, there’s a fork in the road to Heaven,
One leads to our Savior’s door.
Choose well oh weary traveler,
You’ll be there forever more.

This scripture and poem remind me of Pilgrim’s Progress. Pilgrim had so many decisions to make as he traveled to the Celestial City. He made some bad decisions along the way and got into trouble, but God was faithful to rescue him and bring him all the way through. God is that way with us, too. And the lessons we learn!
To everyone. Have a Blessed day!
Wow Kathy. I want to make something with that on it. Perfect presentation of the Gospel path, peace or perdition.
Beautiful Poem Kathy! It is the Gospel presented in poetry! Well done!
That tells it all. The decision is ours and we can’t blame it on someone if we choose wrongly. Where we are today is what we chose, and where we go from here is what we choose , and you need to do it before you take that last breath. I choose God, how about you?
