This is a poem that has bounced around in my head for years. While driving, I would try to see how many verses I could make up. The lines and order has changed over time and sometimes I caught myself repeating some parts, but I finally decided to put it in writing. No words will every truly show my thankfulness for what God has done in my life. And, writing for the love of God, has brought me so many new opportunities. Please feel free to add your own verses. Now, if I could only sing and put music to it. May it leave you with thankfulness in your heart. Ephesians 5:20 says, "Always give thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."

Thank you, Lord for giving to me
The birds and the bees and the apple trees.
Thank you, Lord for sunshine and rain
Thank you, Lord for joy and pain.
Thank you, Lord for grass that is green
Thank you, Lord for everything.
Thank you, Lord for rainbows and clouds
Thank you, Lord for fields that are plowed.
Thank you, Lord for happy and sad
Thank you, Lord, for Moms and Dads.
Thank you, Lord for birds that sing
Thank you, Lord for everything.
Thank you, Lord for children so sweet
Thank you, Lord for the cold and the heat.
Thank you, Lord for the flowers and trees
Thank you, Lord for the deep blue seas.
Thank you, Lord for bells that ring
Thank you, Lord for everything.
Thank you, Lord for mountains and hills
Thank you, Lord for the life's little thrills.
Thank you, Lord for the baby's cry
Thank you, Lord for the Sweet Bye and Bye.
Thank you, Lord for the wind as it sings
Thank you, Lord for everything.
Thank you, Lord for laughter and fun
Thank you, Lord for everyone.
Thank you, Lord for giving it all
Thank you, Lord for the great and small.
Thank you, Lord for Jesus, your son
Thank you, Lord for the victory is won!
