Psalms 42:5-11

Soul, why are you cast down?

For Christ has redeemed you,

He has forgiven you,

He has uplifted you!

Soul, why are you cast down?

For Christ Spirit is in you,

He overflows in you,

By His Spirit He comforts you!

Soul, why are you cast down?

Christ blood has cleansed you,

He has purified you,

It is constantly flowing over you!

Soul, why are you cast down?

Your sins Christ has forgiven you,

By His Spirit He has brought life to you,

Your mind he has renewed in you!

Soul, why are you cast down?

Christ has brought hope to you,

He has plans for you,

Christ is not done with you!

Soul, why are you cast down?

Your sin doesn’t separate you,

His grace is sufficient for you,

Christ is not against, but for you!

Soul, why are you cast down?

Christ is calling you,

He is beckoning you,

He desires to commune with you?

Soul, why are you cast down?

Be lifted up in you,

Don’t let the enemy defeat you,

For Christ has defeated your enemy for you!

Soul, why are you cast down?

Hope in Christ! for Jesus is for you,

He mediates on behalf of you,

You are in Him and He is in you!
