Prayer

I love quotes! I love to write poetry! This week I will be posting some of my favorite quotes along with one of my poems and I will end with scripture to pull it all together. Today, I will focus on prayer. When we pray, we are simply having a conversation with God. He knows what we need even before we ask, but scripture tells us in Jeremiah 29:12. “Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.” We are not wasting our time when we pray. He listens and He hears. If we are still, we will hear Him as well. {Psalm 46:10) It is my prayer that today’s quotes and poem will somehow speak to your heart.
“Prayer is not bringing your list and asking God to sign on the bottom. Prayer is handing God a blank sheet that you have already signed and trusting Him to fill it out as He sees fit.” Paul David Tripp
“Nothing lies beyond the reach of prayer except those things outside the will of God.” L. B. Cowman
A Prayer
From the Heart
Hear my urgent cry oh God, attend unto my prayer.
I know that You hear me, I know that You care.
From the ends of the earth, will I cry out to Thee.
Giving thankful praise, for salvation that’s free.
Forever will I thank thee, the Savior of my soul.
Who took my broken pieces, and in time made them whole.
When my heart is so heavy, lead me on to that place.
Where the Rock is much higher, where there’s mercy and grace.
In the name of sweet Jesus, this prayer is to You.
And thank you today, for all that you do.
Amen
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all
circumstances: for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
1Thessalonains 5:16-18

Love the quote by Paul Tripp. Thanks for the reminder.
Thank you for sharing, Amen
