Our Daily Text

Note: This was written in response to a tragedy that One of Vickie’s co-workers and her family was experiencing.

Don’t we all ask…Why God? Where are you God? Why do tragedies happen? Why does sickness happen? Why does that person have that trauma in their life? I could go on and on.

Texting does not allow me to go into depth, but when Adam fell, sin entered into the world and brought about every sadness, heartache, sickness, sin and anything else that is contrary to God and His plan for man. So we live in a fallen world, but God does not want it that way. So what did he do? Because only he could make a way for things to be set right.

Isiah 50:4. Surely he hath born our griefs and carried our sorrows.

This speaks of Christ on the cross. Man can not fully comprehend in our minds what happened that day. But God the Father placed every sin, every bad thing, every sickness, every single tragedy squarely on Jesus the Son. And Jesus bore our sorrow. The tears we cry, He cried. The sickness and sadness we feel, he felt. Every sin we commit, he felt that day and took our place on the cross.

So where is God on a day like this??? Jesus is with him at his right hand. And I believe Jesus is not just sitting but standing because he feels and felt what we do and is saying Father, your child is suffering. Father they need you. Remember how I took their place and they came to know me as Lord. Father help them. Father I love them with an everlasting love. I will never leave them or forsake them.

There are people in the world that will say “Oh it is easy to say God is in control because you are not the one going thru…” (Whatever issue you want to put in the blank.) But I fully believe what is in this text. I hope this may help us not just today but every day, to hold onto the promises of God.

We will get those answers to those “why” one day in his presence. For now we must hold to his unchanging hand. Thank you Father for your love & mercy for us. Thank you for the reminder, have a great day.

I'm glad he stands in the midst and that he covers us with his love so that we know we are not alone! God forgive me for not trusting you all the time I know you are forever thinking about us. Help me that I can tell others about your love and dedication to a lost and dying world!
