Hope everyone is having a good morning.

Matthew 17:7 And Jesus came and touched them and said. Arise and be not afraid.

This is on the mount of transfiguration. The disciples had fallen at the feet of Jesus because of what they had witnessed. They saw Jesus in a way they had never seen Him before and were afraid. Frightened, but in a sacred way, almost like they did not know what to do. The more we come to know Jesus and to see Him, we see how sinful we are and how holy He is and we become fearful. There are many things in the world too that cause us to be fearful. When we come to know Jesus as our Lord and savior of course we have a Godly fear, but there is a difference in that type of fear. And when we know Jesus, he touches us and he tells us not to have worldly fear. He encourages not to look at the things around us, but to Him! He tells us to arise. We need to be about His business. So let us focus on that today!!!!

Jill shared a scripture with us on Wednesday night that says the same thing. Isaiah 8:12-14 as follows “You are not to say ‘It is a conspiracy!’ regarding everything this people call a conspiracy, and you are not to fear what they fear or be in dread of it. It is the LORD of armies whom you are to regard as holy. And He shall be your fear, and He shall be your dread. Then He will become a sanctuary….” I think this is a strong message to us today. It certainly is to me.
