Only Trust Him

Our pond never ceases to be an instrument of God’s peace to me. I can look out over the pond at any time and feel His peace drop over me like a velvet cloak, covering me – causing me to trust in Him. Wrapping myself within its folds, it reminds me of the immoveable Jehovah God that protects and provides for me as His child.
I am drawn to Psalm 125:1 that tells us “They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abideth forever.” If we trust in Him we will abide forever! How do we maintain this trust? With faith (1 Peter 1:5), and commitment (2 Timothy 1:12). In Jude 24-25 we find the scripture assures and comforts the believer with these words, “Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen”
If we will put our trust in Christ through faith and commitment to Him, we will be presented righteous before God the Father. When I consider the pond, I see the glory and majesty of God and better understand His dominion and power.
What a day it will be when our trust makes it so that we can see His glory in all its wonder!
Christ Jesus, when darkness surrounds us and we feel our weakness and helplessness, give us the sense of Your presence, Your love, and Your strength. Help us to have that perfect trust in Your protecting love and strengthening power, so that nothing may frighten or worry us, for, living close to You, we shall see Your hand, Your purpose, Your will through all things. Amen

Amen Lucy.
Thanks and bless you, Lucy, for letting me share a little bit of the pond and its blessings that you share through each of your devotions.
