My Morning Prayer

Lord, May I praise thee,

Whatever the day may bring.

May my voice have strength,

So that unto you I may sing.

Lord, may I bless thee,

Fallen upon bended knee.

May the height of my thankful praise,

Extend from my deep humility.

Lord, may I extol thee,

With my life I lift you up.

Grant through my submission,

To drink from your baptismal cup.

Lord, may I proclaim thee,

And all your goodness to my supply,

May I tell of your great provisions,

That your blessings I can’t deny.

Lord, may I trust thee,

In every step I take.

May I lean not to my own understanding,

But according to your will my decision make.

Lord, may I be like thee,

Conform to your will and way.

That just like Jesus my savior,

Your life and love I may put on display!
