Met By God’s Love

“Satisfy us in the morning by your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all of our days.” Psalms 90:14 (ESV)

My prayer for you all this morning is that the first thing you were met with when you woke up was God’s love. I don’t know what kind of day you had yesterday or what lies ahead of you today, the one thing I know is that God goes before you! There are many things today that are causing many people to be fearful, distressed, depressed, and many other emotions and concerns. But I pray in the midst of it all that you feel God’s presence and love.

You see, that is what brings us comfort today. To know that we are loved in the midst of so much hate. That there is truth in the midst of many lies. There is a constant in an ever changing world. There is joy in the midst of sorrow. All of things are found in Jesus Christ. As we meet with him in the morning, we gain confidence that he will be with us always, even unto the end of the world. By communing with him it puts a song on our heart and a pep in our step because, by knowing him we know who we are, what we are about, and where we are going.

So let this Psalm be your prayer when you lay down at night. Pray that when you wake up the next day that you are met by God and his love!
