When we take our enjoyment in Christ, then we are guaranteed that we will lack in no good thing. We may not have all of our wants, but God will “supply all of our need according to his riches in glory.” Philippians 4:19
To delight means to make Christ first and Jesus promised that if we “seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33 We will not have to be anxious or worry about the necessities of life because Peter said that God “hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:” 2 Peter 1:3
David said “I have been young, and now am old; Yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” Psalm 37:25
When we take delight in Christ our shepherd we will not lack!
