It's All There Written in Black and White

One of the greatest gifts I have been given in this life is the ability to notice God’s creations. From the tiniest flower, colorful and camouflaged birds, unique tree formations, colorful rocks, bird songs, magnificent sunsets, dramatic cloud formations, majestic rainbows after a storm, to the ever- changing waves and moving sands of a beach or river bottom; these sights have thrilled and delighted me. So much so that I try miserably to capture them with my camera. One thing that has always stood out to me is that the Bible spelled it out clearly. Genesis 1:3-24 gives us a day-by-day, play-by-play of the creation of our planet that we call home. And God said, “It is good.” It's right there written in black and white.

I have never understood how anyone could look at the perfect petals of a rose, zinnia, or daliah and think oh look what happened by chance. It’s not by happen stance. It was carefully and wonderfully made, just like us. I know there are people who would argue, “Oh it’s all about genetics and genetic modification.” Not really. You see, God created the brain that came up with the ability to think and study and discover how it’s all put together to begin with. Look at an acorn. Some as small as the tip of your finger, yet grow into mighty oak trees, that overtime, grow into giants that become homes for animals, shade for our yards, and lumber for our homes. We can’t do that. Only God can put a whole tree inside of a tiny acorn. I challenge each of us as we go throughout our day and make it a point to notice God’s creation. As He stated in Genesis, “It was good.” Seek to find the Good every day. It's all there, written in black and white, between the covers of The Bible.

Great devotion to give people something to think about. It just amazes me to see a new born child or animal. Things like that just don’t happen. Seek and you shall find look and you will see.
