It's About the Cross

Again, I have been pondering, about many things, especially in our trying times. The longer things go on the more we become assimilated to them, accepting of them. Think what life would be like if we had to continue to live in this pandemic for 38 more years. Forty years the Israelites wandered. It is easy to see how they would become disheartened, immune, hardened to what was going on around them. Can you believe that almost two years have already passed, living this isolated, cautious lifestyle, that we have been flung into, called a pandemic? We are a long ways from enduring what the Israelites endured for all of the decades they wandered.

But, with all of that being said, God gave us a way to stay in-tune with what is going on around us. We were never promised easy, but we were promised He would be with us. Exodus 3:12 in part says, “But I will be with you…”. These words are actually used over 50 times in the Bible, sometimes referring to God and sometimes referring to Jesus. We have His WORD. For that, I am truly thankful.

There is a song by The Ball Brothers called “It’s About the Cross”. As we are into the Christmas season, we tend to focus on different things more so than at other times of the year, such as the birth of Jesus. Without that one miraculous moment in time, we would forever be enslaved in a world with no hope. Thankfully, God saw and knew what had to be done. We had to have a way to Him through Jesus Christ. And, the only way to go through Jesus was for him to go to the cross.

As we continue in this season of Advent, let us not become disheartened over what is going on around us. We must continue to draw together as likeminded believers and worship Him who gave his all. Music binds us all, most especially during this season of Christmas and Advent. Please take a moment to read and enjoy this song. Click the links.

It is Gods word and assurance that he will be with me through the bad times, that lets me except the fact that it is what it is. He told us it was coming, so l keep trusting him and living for him.

Amen, amen thank you for the reminder. He had to be born so he could cleanse us with his blood to make us righteous. Yes he is with us always, sometimes by looking at his worldly creation, sometimes by feeling his presence, sometimes in his spirit within us. Thank you for your promise to us, Amen.please share our Savior Jesus today, this is the right time to talk and witness to those family members that are lost, don’t pass it up. Have a great day, all of you.
