Holy Week: Holy Tuesday

This week I want the scriptures to speak for themselves. I will post each day the various readings for each day of Holy Week. Our focus will be on Matthew's Gospel and his accounts.

Mathew 23:1-25:46

Today's readings are chapters 23-25 in Matthew's Gospel. In these chapters Jesus is confronting the hypocrisy of the Jewish leaders and the ultimate judgement coming upon Jerusalem in 70AD. Matthew 24 -25 Jesus warns them of that coming judment as well as the judgement upon all the world at the end of the age and the signs preceding it.
