God’s Love

1 John 4:10

Sometimes we forget just how much God loves us. We go through the day and become distracted, defeated, and disoriented. The devil has a way of causing us to feel that we are so unworthy of being loved, which leads many to shut off or shut out those who want to love them the most, Especially God!

It is hard for us to accept that God loves us for who we are and not what we do or don’t do. God doesn’t love us because he has to but because he wants to. He delights in this love for his creation and we were created to love him in response to his love towards us. This is what our scripture is all about this morning.

So at the end of the day when all is said and done, while we examine our lives, the only thing that really matters is that God loves us and we love him. And in the midst of all this love, his “Love covers the multitude of sins.1 Peter 4:8
