“Therefore, the Lord waits to be
gracious to you, and therefore
He exalts himself to show mercy to you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
blessed are all those who wait for Him.”
Isaiah 30:18
Do our prayers seem to fade when God sends long delays?
Do we easily give up after waiting for days?
Do we get so discouraged when days turn to years?
Are the days filled with pain and night filled with tears?
God sometimes walks slowly as He prepares troubled hearts,
For He knows well our journey long before it starts.
Are we moving in His direction or waiting, remaining still?
Are we safer in the valley, afraid to climb that hill?
God’s promises may be conditional, requiring action on our part.
Traveling unfamiliar paths might be the place to start.
God gently waits for all of us to trust in Him completely.
Sometimes He clearly opens doors, sometimes He moves discretely.
Rise up today go forward; the key is in our hand,
The key where faith begins its work to help us understand.
God may be waiting on us.
This one truth is certain, delays may last for years.
God often walks so slowly, but still our prayers He hears.
As God begins to lead us and show us where we’re going,
The journey may be hard at times, but worth it in just knowing,
He may be waiting on us.
It’s up to us to move with Him, delays just help us grow.
Now God is waiting patiently, let’s take His hand and go.
Thank You God… for waiting on us.

Thank you Kathy, this goes together beautifully.
You always find a beautiful way to say what God needs us to hear.
Absolutely beautiful words of Wisdom, my longest prayer was 19 years to be answered, others are in an instant. Thank you Lord for allowing us to talk directly to you, Amen
