Discouragement

Today I will focus on discouragement. Sometimes the things that are going on in the world discourage us in so many ways. Those are the times we must take our concerns to God in prayer and walk with Him more closely than ever. He has a perfect plan for each of us. He tells us to be anxious for nothing and promises to guard our minds and hearts no matter what we may be going through. Let’s not lose heart during these trying times but trust our God completely and allow Him to give us that peace that passes all understanding.
“Discouragement is a powerful tool of the devil. It blinds the mind of faith and can cause one to become weak and lose heart.” Pastor Robby Stewart
“God is God. He knows what He is doing. When you can’t trace His hand, trust His heart.” Max Lucado
Wait on the Lord
Wait on the Lord to fulfill His plan,
Never take the reins from His hand.
No earthly wisdom will guide our path,
This truth we must understand.
Listen, obey, and trust His will,
Gentle touches and all restraints.
Know that our redeemer lives,
And cares for His earthly saints.
Allow Jehovah to take control,
When obstacles stand in our way.
Our surroundings are there to strengthen our faith,
And to give us the power to stay.
Be steadfast in prayer as we wait in faith,
And believe in the depths of our heart,
That all things work together for good,
To those in the Lord thou art.
He is never too late, He’s right on time,
A God full of mercy and grace.
Wait on the Lord to unfold His will,
Trust His heart when His hand can’t be traced.
Wait on the Lord to fulfill His plan,
Even though it is so hard to do.
Be not discouraged, He will hold our hand,
For He is always faithful and true.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Phil. 4:6,7
