Deliver Me From Evil

Matthew 6:9-13

Deliver me from evil

For I know that it’s there.

Deliver me from evil,

For it is everywhere.

The world is so wicked,

It’s fallen so far.

Its morals are corrupt,

Everything is so marred.

I pray everyday,

That I may abstain.

That I may be kept,

That I would go unstained.

With every look,

With every word I hear,

Set a watch upon my eyes,

Sanctify my ears.

Deliver me from evil,

For I know it’s in me.

Fill me with your grace,

Adorn me with your mercy.

I am so wicked,

My thoughts give me away.

Being so full of iniquity,

To sin I tend to sway.

I pray everyday,

With all that’s in me.

Like a caged bird,

That I may go free.

Unto you I look,

With your words do my heart I fill.

Lead me not into temptation,

But deliver me from evil.
