Daddy Said

Short and sweet:

Daddy always said, “You can please some people some of the time and you can please all people some of the time but, you can’t please all people all of the time.” This is so true in so many ways. Some of us spend every waking moment trying to please others when in actuality we should only be trying to please God.

Matthew 6:6 says, “But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”

The content of your character is not just what other people see, its what you think and do when no one is looking.

Lord, I pray that my actions, thoughts, and meditations of my heart will always be pleasing to you. Please forgive me when I fail. Amen.
