Pastor Robby stated in a Sunday service that Christianity is not a religion. It is a relationship with Jesus Christ. Today I would like to focus on that very thing. The simple truth is that we are saved by grace through faith. That faith is just believing that Jesus is God’s Son who came to earth through a virgin birth, spent time on earth to reveal Himself as the true Messiah, went to the cross and died to cover our sins, rose from the grave, ascended to Heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father interceding for us when we pray. I am so thankful that I was chosen, called, and commissioned to be a child of God. If you are not in a relationship with Jesus today, He is waiting with open arms ready to receive you into His family. Simply believe all these things, ask Him to come live in your heart, and then… just call Him Father!
“Christianity is not a religion; it is a life transforming relationship with Jesus Christ. Religion represents our efforts to find God. Christianity is God’s efforts to seek and to save us.” David Jeremiah (Hope for Today)
Jesus Our Savior
He did nothing wrong; the guilt was not there.
Still, He went to the cross, for our sins He would bear.
Hail King of the Jews, they cried out with glee,
Then lead Him away for you and for me.
Thorns were then placed on His beautiful head,
He was nailed to the tree with so much to dread.
Forgive them oh Father for they just do not know,
Came the sweet words of Jesus as He began to let go.
A spear was then thrusted in to pierce His side,
They had to be sure that our Jesus had died.
As we reflect and remember his horrible death,
He was thinking of us as He took his last breath.
The ultimate penalty for our sins He did pay,
But rejoice and be glad as He still lives today.
The grave could not hold Him, death had no power.
God knew when He’d rise, He planned the exact hour.
He lives and is seated at the Father’s right hand,
Interceding for His children, all over this land.
Keep your eyes fixed on Heaven for that glorious sight,
His return will come quickly, as a thief in the night.
Every knee will then bow, every tongue will confess,
That our Jesus is Lord full of true righteousness.
An innocent man, yes, He died on that tree.
He did everything right and salvation is free.
Receive this great gift please receive it today,
For to enter His Kingdom, there’s no other way.

“He himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die
to sin and live for righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed.” 1 Peter 2:24
