Bubbles of Truth

My grandson and I were blowing bubbles late one afternoon with the sun in just the right position to create iridescence within each bubble. This is caused by the light reflecting off of the front and back of the bubble. As the bubbles floated on the wind; some going into the woods and others travelling out over the pond, they brought to mind the bubble in which Glinda the good witch of the North arrived in in Munchkin Land. Good witches and fairy godmothers are portrayed in so many children’s books and I would guess that most of us as children wished we had a fairy godmother to grant all our wants and wishes! We however have something so much better! We have a heavenly Father that loves and wants a relationship with each and every one! Unlike the make believe granters of wishes and fixers of problems, He is real! Psalm 90:9, “Before the mountains were born, before you birthed the earth and the inhabited world-from forever in the past to forever in the future, you are God.” (CEB) What a beautiful picture!

Let’s start at the very beginning with Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning God…” (KJV) tells us that God has always been present. There is also this verse from Romans 1:20 that explains there is no excuse for unbelief, “Ever since the creation of the world, God’s invisible qualities – God’s eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, because they are understood through the things God has made. So humans are without excuse.” (CEB)

Our God is Creator, Giver and Sustainer of life. We know that every good and perfect gift is provided from the Father (James 1:17). He is the Lover of our souls, our Protector and so much more! So, how do we know this God when we cannot see Him? We know Him through His son Jesus as we read in John 1:18, “No one has ever seen God. God the only Son, who is at the Father’s side, has made God known.” Jesus personified God the Father while He was on earth and He said if you have seen me, you have seen the Father (John 14:9) and we find in John 10:30 “I and the Father are one.”

Is God real and does He care –

Or is trust in Him like bubbles on the air?

So beautiful and magical when first they are blown-

Is that how you feel, that God is just an unknown?

Drop your bubble wand and take a stand –

Reach out, take His hand…allow Him to show you the way,

To trust and believe forever and a day.

Today is the day to put your trust and hope in Jesus and realize how very real He is!

I for one know he’s real. I have felt his mighty power. He walks with me and he talks with me and he tells me I am his own. Great devotion!❤️

So true do we trust God or do we just exist I choose to trust God whether I see him or not! I simply trust him because I can feel him!
