A Poem of Thanksgiving

 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

I will give thanks

When all is good and well

I will offer praise

Of His goodness will I tell

I will give thanks

For all the good He has done to me

I will offer praise

For through His son, He has set me free

I will exalt his name

For He provides consistently

I will extend my hand

And freely receive thankfully

I will give thanks

When all is dark and gloom

I will give praise

Because the devil cannot consume

All that God has given

No lack of supply

Through His abundance

The well of living water will never run dry

I will give thanks

When darkness tries to expel the light

I will exalt His name

For darkness has no might

To overcome the good

That God has done for me

To take away my faith

To steal my loyalty

So, it does not matter

In times of good or bad

God is always faithful

There is grace to be had

 I will start every morning

With a prayer of thanksgiving

And end every night

With a praise to God who supplies for all my living!
